Jags in MBS

Decided to update this space as often as i can before school starts taking over my life again. I mean, sporadic postings are better than frequent ones, right?

Anyway, on April 7-9, I spent 3 days with my jags in MBS. We stayed over this time! All 6 of us! Okay, daisy left on the second day but hey its better than nothing right!

7 April
Met Vanneh and pri at Bayfront MRT at 2pm and went to put my heavy ass bag in the room first. I decided to bring my laptop + charger and my speakers lul. Then we headed off to lunch at the food court at the Shoppes. Explored the shoppes because its only my second visit there! Went back to the room after stopping at a bakery at 1st floor for some cookies and bread. I got a cinnamon bun while pri got some cookies. I think neh got egg tarts? We chilled in the room watching movies and youtube videos until about 8pm when the rest of them came. Met Iris on the first floor just as we were walking to the MRT station to meet morris and asyu.  We stayed in tower 3 by the way.

After meeting the rest, we decided to head over to Marina Square for some supper/really late dinner and Iris dropped her training bag with her parents only to pick up her staycation luggage from them. Oh! And because Iris and i headed off to Marina Square first, we passed by this Times Outlet shop that had ongoing sales of up to 80% discounts! Couldn't find any Chris Kuzneski books on sale, not like i haven't read any yet heh, but picked up this weird book with a hardcover and a skull on it. It was only going for $5 so i decided why not right? I was so elated in that little shop. I could spend the entire staycation duration there! Finally managed to drag ourselves out of the shop to meet the rest at Macs. Went to the 7-11 at the shoppes to get some drinks. Iris and i got some vodka mixed drink and an Erdinger beer and some apple cider and some long island drink thingy. We returned to the hotel at about 11? And started watching movies from midnight till about 4am. We watched youtube videos first though while some of us got showered. Sat outside the balcony with Iris drinking our drinks. We drank the cranberry-or was it raspberry-vodka mix drink and the Erdinger. Neither of which tasted too good... Talked about everything! I can't really remembered what we talked about but we sure talked! Talked about stomach flu, what kind of injuries we sustained before and about life! Watched A Haunted House and it ended around 4am. Morris slept first though.

8 April

Woke up at 11am the next day lul. Took quite a while for all of us to get ready/get out of bed. Oh and btw, Iris and i slept on the floor in between the two beds. Asyu and Pri took one bed, Vaneh and morris took the other. But Vanneh ended up sleeping outside at the balcony because morris's snoring was too loud for her.

Decided to go to Mustafa that day! But before that morris had to make a stop by his workplace at Dhoby so we(Iris, Vanneh, Pri and i because Asyu left as her cramps were too bad + her mom didn't allow her to stay both nights) ate at Just Acia. And that was the day we found out about the classes. I found out that morris and i were going to be a different a class from the other 3. It was heartbreaking news but we decided to not let that ruin our entire stay.

Explored Mustafa after lunch and stocked up on a  lot of snacks! We got mac n cheese and almost half a basket full of chocolates! The girls and i headed to marina square after to get some drinks and stop by Carl's Junior for some ice cream shakes. Morris took our Mustafa loots back to the hotel because he said he was tired and wanted a nap. By the time we got back it was about 8pm? Or 10pm? Oh yeah and we visited the Times bookstore again and four of us got 10 books in total for $35. Its so nice to have nerdy friends 8)

Got back to the hotel and showered as usual and we watched 3 movies!! Youtube videos first though hehe and Morris offered to make our mac n cheese for us. AWWWW. We realised they had to be microwaved. :/ so he boiled water and "cooked" them. We watched Insidious Part 2 first, followed by MAMA and lastly, Mean Girls. Morris slept first, again, and Vanessa after. She has never watched any of the horror films before but she slept throughout the entire marathon! After the movies ended, everyone slept except Iris and I because i felt that there was no point in sleeping at 5am when we had set the alarm to go off at 10am so that we could check out. Sat outside the balcony with her, once again talking about life and other nonsense. Accompanied by some chocolates. We finished all the Tiger Beer Radley that we bought at Marina Square earlier on. And the apple cider too. Good news was, Iris and i caught the sunrise! It was sooo beautiful! We finally crawled into our little space between the beds at 7am. 

9 April

Got up at 12pm. lul. And we checked out at about 1pm? Went to Nex for lunch but Morris didn't join us. And then we caught Captain America! Its my second time watching the show. But i watched it with a different company so i don't mind. Finally parted ways and reached home at 6pm.

Hope we can do this again, jags! Its always a good time with you and i know that ya'll will never judge me no matter what i do. Please let us be friends forever till we're old and wrinkly. Even after poly and uni. Thanks for the great 3 days!

Wanna take this time to dedicate a post solely to one of my best friends.

I have a group of friends in school consisting of 6 or 7 other girls. Some may think its too big a group but i think its a cosy number. Theres enough of us to cause a ruckus or mayhem. But nonetheless, i am thankful that i met twin and gt because they are the ones that has seen my ugly sides.

I'm really grateful for having gt in my life. I know we had a rough start. I didn't like her in sec 1 because i thought she was annoying-i still do-and kinda like an ah lian. But when i had my first "breakup" with SJ, she was there for me. Surprisingly. And i have no idea why or how she came to talk to me. Okay, it was more of a text lol.  And i guess our friendship blossomed from there.

I don't have many photos with you babe, but i hope that our collection of photos together will grow as time passes. You are so important to me babe. I know i may not be the easiest person to be around, especially with my short temper and crazy mood swings. But thankyou for staying in my life when i pushed you out so many times. 

Sometimes i say the wrong things, hurtful things, things that i don't mean. And whether i intentionally or unintentionally said that, you, despite being hurt and insulted still showered me with love unconditionally. You always gave off that confident, strong, reliable vibe and that's what i really like about you. (:

I remember once in lower sec i forgot to complete our chinese holiday homework which was a composition, and i text you late at night asking-okay more of begging-you if you could do it for me. It was late and you were helping a lot of other people too. But you still said yes. I know that if the roles were reversed, i would've just ignored your message!

We have our quarrels, our fights, our differences. But despite all the shit and insults i hurled your way, you still stood by me and never once did you leave. For my birthdays you didn't mind getting me whatever i wanted, be it 3 seasons of Hawaii 5-0 DVD or a giant Craftholic bunny or a stupid floral snake for christmas.

But i don't need materialistic things to make me happy or to appreciate our friendship. I'm already thankful and appreciative enough that you would walk me to my block or even to my apartment unit at 11.30pm at night even if it means you reaching home past midnight yourself. 

You also scare all the bad and scary people away from my life when it gets too overwhelming. 

It was so difficult for me to go to pfp because i didn't want to leave our clique and you. But thank you for supporting my decision to go even when we both know how difficult it was.

I don't care if we're to lesbian for people. I don't care if we get mistaken for lesbians. You're such an important person in my life babe. You would never mind doing things for me like coming to my house at 8.30am just to pass me my calculator and physics file for my science tuition even before i was awake. I don't know how i am ever going to repay you or be half as good as a friend you are to me, to you. 

MAMA was probably my first real "horror" movie in a cinema. Thank you for always agreeing to watch horror films with me. I remembered how you will take time off from studying for your O's just to catch a movie and dinner with me just because i asked for it. 

You have done so much for me babe, and thankyou for being a pillar to lean on, and faint on even. Thankyou for accepting my flaws, my weaknesses, my shit and basically, just me. 

I am so thankful for you gt. Thank God for placing you in my life. Here's to more years of causing mayhem and annoying the shit out of everyone. Let's grow old and wrinkly together and let our kids be friends too!

TOO MANY THINGS TO WRITE ABOUT

Spent the week before this being sick. Oh gosh i wasn't even gone that long and i have soo many events to write about! Okay, lets go on a chronological order: USS, Elgin's 18th, Divergent with GT, Morris's cheer leading competition, GT's 18th and PFP orientation 2014!

USS - 25 march
My virgin trip to USS with the secondary school peeps! It was really unexpected because despite talking about it with chin ee like 2341256 times, i honestly did not think he would get the tickets for us! So a total of 13 of us went that day. (25th March, tuesday!) The girls were Hay, Low, GT, Rachel, the twin and i. The guys that went were Chin ee, Darren, Hongyi, Maverick, Elson, Aloy and Huan Huat.

Met them at vivo at 10am in the morning. I was really excited to be going to USS but waking up at 8 to get ready was just really really difficult. I have officially been reduced to a grumpy and cranky morning person. ): Walked from Habourfront/Vivo to USS. First ride was Transformers which we had to queue for 50mins!! I am a really impatient person and yes i have mentally prepared myself for the horrendous queuing time and also repeatedly told myself that i might spend 50% of my time there queuing. ): But nothing i did, or what others said about the queues could ease my bubbling annoyance for the queue. After the 4D ride which i had already screamed by lungs and throat out, we went to the Mummy ride. The Transformers ride really made me want to rewatch all three shows again. Given the waiting time, maybe i could. Okay no i'm joking bahahaha. It was pretty scary especially the part where our "car" fell off a building. And the decepticons were in our faces???!!?!?!

It was a really sunny day and we walked to the Mummy ride. I loved the queuing time for this ride: 5 minutes. We sat twice. I sat beside Chinee on the first row with Elson and Huan Huat. Everyone was telling me how the 1st row is super "fun". I fully comprehend that sentence now. Even the double meanings. Sitting that ride for the first time was whatthefuck for me because it was so scary plus i was at the first row!!!! Even before the loops and turns i already screamed at the part where the robotic mummy jumped out. #jypls. I can sit through a scary movie without flinching but i jump at the sight of a ROBOTIC MUMMY???

Headed to the Jurassic Park ride next where it was a water ride! We had to sit on this round floaty thingy like in USS except it was not inflatable. The ride was about going into the labs where they developed the dinosaurs and then suddenly something went wrong. The last part of the ride was when the our "float" went down a mini waterfall. Water splashed at us but i was thankful that my side-i sat in between rachel and gt-did not get the brunt of the impact. Twin, hay and low and the three other women got wet. Hay was much more soaked among all of us hehe.

Then we went for lunch. Passing by a group of hip hop dancers on the way out. Had lunch at Astons with the girls because we didn't have the feel-or money-for the pizzeria the boys were eating at. After we came back, we managed to snag a photo or two with Frankenstein!

Too bad he loved his job more than me so we went our separate ways.

Sat some easy going Elmo ride, the Shrek roller coaster which was so much more enjoyable than the Mummy....hahah...and then watched the 4D Shrek and Donkey short film where they sprayed us with water-at least i prayed it was plain water- it was really cute! Walked around for a bit more and found the Madagascar mascots!

Okay obviously we were not prepared for the photo. The lady didn't even say "lights camera action!" like they were supposed to to tell us to get ready. ):

Walked around while waiting for the guys because we split. It was a sunny day (have i mentioned that before?) But nonetheless we still camwhored like the gurlx we are hehe 

But after a while the girls and i got really tired and exhausted. So we decided to leave the compound first and head back to civilisation-jk we went back to vivo-for a drink and dinner. But before we left the place, we took some group photos with the Hershey's mascot!

Brought the girls to Pasir Panjang's food centre for dinner after a short window shopping trip round vivo. Headed home after and had a really great sleep that night! Thank you for getting the tickets for us chinee!!

Elgin's 18th x Divergent-27 & 28 March

Basically we went to Timbre for dinner but i felt that i had to write about this day because it was...kind of a fail. Met Alphy and Craig and Elgin's poly friends at city hall mrt and waited for Szesiang. This joker made us all arrive at 7.30 when he came at 7.45. Made our way to Timbre @ Substation. But got a call from the twin that she was at the Clarke Quay's outlet.....

SS waited for them at city hall's mrt then walked them over. We had the roasted duck pizza and drinks. I had the Singapore Sling which i didn't really like because it started tasting like medicine at the middle. ): Alphy had Sex on the Beach and i really liked his drink! Twin had mudslide which was just Bailey's. SS had lime mojito i think. And Elgin had Erdinger. Craig doesn't drink. Recommended him to get a mocktail but elgin forgot to place his order. Headed home after. (: Met Gt the next day for Divergent! Too much romance and didn't really like it.

Morris's cheer competition - 29 march

That saturday, the YA came over for a short movie session in the morning. The sister ordered pizza from Domino's and made ice cream sandwiches and orange jello. Well, in short i spent my whole day eating. Then in the afternoon, went to watch Morris and the NYP Grizzlers perform at Downtown East's D'Marqee centre! 

NYP GRIZZLERS GOT 2ND PLACE AHHHH!!!!

Watching a cheer leading competition is really different. Firstly i actually got to see them throw and catch girls live which was kinda amusing and fascinating. But scary! And the gymnastic moves were so cool!! I think my favourite was the back handspring. Saw teams from other asian countries like Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia etc. And also the other polys like RP-which clinched the first place-TP and SP. There was also NUS and NTU. Went for dinner with the girls because Morris had to stay for the prize giving ceremony.

GT's 18th - 31 march

I think i'm going to write a separate post for her because i feel if i added it in with this post, its going to be repulsively long post.

NYP PFP Orientation 2014 - 3 apr

Was selected to be the OGL for this pfp camp! Was looking forward to it before because i have never been an OGL in my life and i was so happy to graduate from PFP hehe. Plus majority of the class is in the planning committee. Iris being the president of it.

Reported in school at 8am and after the talks, met my class which were super quiet and awkward. O_O Thankgod there was Pri and Van there with me! Met a really sweet girl called Sophy/Sophie/Sofy/Sofie??? Even though she is slightly visually impaired, she is so optimistic and talented! Learned that she plays the violin-currently at the grade 6 level-not for examination purpose but  for performance purposes. She is also a competitive swimmer. And on top of that she is in the top 10% of NA students nationwide-well so was i-and all these given her condition??? Respect!

Needless to say, when i'm with my jags we always take pictures.

Met gt, twin and hay at suntec after for dinner. Missed my stop at Dhoby so i decided to alight at Raffles instead. Then i realised it was the wrong stop fml and had trouble finding the right platform to take a train back a stop to City Hall where i then walked the wrong path because i ended up taking the longer route via Citylink mall fml. Made it to Suntec grumpy, cranky, angry, hungry and sweaty. All of which i was going through when i was attempting to find the right platform back at Raffles mrt. After dinner which cheered me up quite a lot but not enough to give me my energy back, we walked over to Millenia Walk for some desserts. Ended up at starbucks lol where i had a caramel frap. Went home, showered and read Chris Kuzneski's Sword Of God as a bedtime story. I fall in love with Payne and Jones all over again when i read his books. Alright thats about it!
